At Trattoria Vesso, we aim to make each guest feel as welcome and loved as our Nonna does. Our authentic European-style Italian pizzeria uses only the freshest ingredients and Italian recipes inspired by family and traditions. Everything is prepared in-house, from wood-fired pizzas to our hand-stretched pasta.
We are the only AVPN® certified restaurant in Nova Scotia, officially recognized by Naples as masters of crafting authentic Neapolitan pizza using traditional cooking methods.

About Chef Vesso
Chef Vesso is the hands and heart behind Trattoria Vesso. He draws from over 30 years of experience as a chef and restaurateur worldwide, offering authentic home-style Italian cuisine in Halifax.
Chef Vesso’s passion for cooking began at a young age in Dubrovnik at his family’s farm and vineyard, where he learned the importance of using quality, farm-to-table ingredients for the best-tasting meals. He went on to work alongside Michelin-starred chefs at some of the world’s finest restaurants in Italy, Switzerland, France, Greece, and Lebanon before coming home to Halifax, Nova Scotia, the city where his wife was raised.
